Springkell is a stunning, historical, charming, and elegant house, perfect for any special occasion, especially weddings.

Despite high standards and incredible professionalism we aim to make your day as informal and relaxed as possible. We’ll take care of all the details for you. For instance we order your chair sashes in the colour you want, free of charge, and ensure any special drink that you or your guests want is stocked behind the bar.

While staying at Springkell you’ll be living in luxury. Each of our 14 bedrooms have been decorated by the same designer for the rooms at the Goring Hotel where our Royal Princess stayed the night before her wedding. So you’re in great company!

Our rooms are beautiful, tasteful and peaceful, seven of which enjoy Emperor beds, the biggest beds you can buy without getting a bed handmade.

Once at Springkell you have a choice of three places to get married; the wedding room which can hold up to 150 guests, 100 seated and 50 standing. It has a lovely two metre Italian marble surround mirror, which faces west, and there are two entrances – one for the groom and one for the bride.

Alternatively you could get married in your own church and have your reception onwards at Springkell. And thirdly you can get married in our grounds in the romantic round garden. Only in Scotland can you get married outside and in the open air. Elsewhere you must marry under a ‘structure’.

Once the ceremony is over and we have a new Mr and Mrs, you can then move into the main hall for your reception. The hall, which can hold up to 250 guests, is simply stunning and boasts marble pillars and black and white marble flooring – exactly the same as the Palace of Versailles.
